Continuous improvement

For problem solving and continuous improvements AIL uses design of experiments (DOE) and various statistical techniques. The overall quality level has been improved from 50,000 PPM to 800 PPM and AIL is now working towards achieving defects per million of opportunities (DPMO) of 233 PPM.
Defect Prevention/reduction in variation

AIL uses 6-Sigma methodology for defect identification and prevention which has been implemented in all the manufacturing lines for last four years.

Processes

The Company is engaged in the continuous up gradation of SPMs, Tools and Processes. Special emphasis is on improvement of workmanship by implementing POKA-YOKE techniques.
